Single Tooth

One missing tooth. One permanent solution.

A dental implant replaces one missing tooth with a titanium root inserted into the jawbone, topped with a custom crown that matches your natural teeth. Unlike a traditional bridge, no neighbouring teeth need to be ground down.

  • Looks, feels, and functions like a natural tooth
  • Preserves the underlying jawbone (which a bridge or denture cannot)
  • Doesn't damage the healthy teeth either side
  • Designed as a long-term solution — 95%+ survival at 10 years in published data, with proper care
  • Same-day immediate provisional crown possible in selected cases

Multiple Teeth

Two, three, or more — fixed in place.

When several adjacent teeth are missing, an implant-supported bridge replaces them all using just two or three implants — fewer implants than missing teeth, fixed permanently in your mouth.

  • Fewer implants than teeth — typically 2 implants support a 3-tooth bridge
  • No removable parts, no adhesives, no slipping
  • Stops the bone loss that follows tooth loss
  • Stronger and more conservative than a traditional fixed bridge
  • Healthy adjacent teeth stay untouched

Two implant fixtures in the jaw bone support a 3-unit bridge above — the middle crown floats as a “pontic,” replacing the missing tooth without damaging adjacent natural teeth.

Full Arch · All-on-4 / All-on-X

An entire jaw of fixed teeth — in one day.

If you're losing or have lost most of your teeth, or you're struggling with ill-fitting dentures, full-arch implants give you a brand new set of fixed teeth in a single appointment. As few as four implants per jaw.

  • Fixed provisional teeth fitted the same day as surgery
  • No more dentures, adhesive, or food restrictions
  • Often achievable without bone grafting, even with significant bone loss
  • Final permanent metal-reinforced zirconia bridge fitted 3-4 months later
  • Dr Nadeem has completed 200+ full-arch cases

Bone-Saving Implants

Told you don't have enough bone? The right implant system and experience can change the answer.

Many general dentists turn patients away as "not suitable for implants" because of bone loss. The truth is, modern implant techniques have evolved well beyond what many general implant providers are set up to offer. We routinely treat patients told no elsewhere — and most patients told they need bone grafting can avoid it entirely.

Worth saying clearly: every dental implant preserves jawbone simply by being there — that's not unique. What is unique about Neodent's short and narrow systems is they let us place the implant in bone other clinics would say isn't enough — without grafting.

Why time matters The longer a tooth is missing, the more bone is lost beneath it. Early treatment often avoids £400–£1,500 of grafting fees later on. The sooner we look, the more options you have — and the less it costs.

Two implant systems from Neodent (Straumann group) make this possible — both clinically proven, both routinely used at Smile Success.

Helix Short HS — for shallow bone When upper back teeth have been missing for a while, the sinus drops toward where the implant needs to sit. Standard implants need around 10mm of bone height. Helix Short comes in lengths from 4mm to 8.5mm — meaning we can offer:
  • Short enough to fit the bone you already have
  • No sinus lift surgery
  • No 4–6 month wait for a graft to heal
  • No extra £800–£1,500 in bone fees
  • Faster, simpler — and you keep your sinus untouched
Neodent Helix Short implant
Helix GM Narrow — for thin ridges When a tooth has been missing for several years, the bone ridge shrinks sideways. The standard answer is ridge augmentation grafting — bone added to your jaw, then months of healing before the implant can go in. Narrow-diameter implants (2.9mm and 3.5mm) mean we can offer:
  • An implant that fits the bone you already have
  • One surgery instead of two
  • No ridge graft
  • No second healing phase
  • Particularly useful for lower front teeth, upper laterals, and ridges that have thinned over time
Neodent Helix GM Narrow — Ø 2.9mm. Small diameter, great achievements.

Where grafting is genuinely the right call, we'll tell you straight — we use the most conservative technique that will work.

Neodent Straumann Both backed by Straumann's clinical research, warranty, and the Morse taper connection used across their standard range.

Implant vs Bridge vs Denture

Three ways to replace one missing tooth.

A like-for-like comparison — same patient, one missing tooth, three options. Pricing shown is Smile Success’s actual fees, not industry averages.

Single Implant 3-Unit Bridge Partial Denture

At Smile Success (1 tooth) £2,200 £3,000 From £600
Likely 30-year cost ~£2,200 (one-off) £6,000–£9,000 (replaced 2-3×) £2,400–£3,600 (replaced 4-6×)

The bridge isn’t the cheaper option. At Smile Success, a single implant (£2,200) is actually £800 less than a 3-unit bridge for the same job (£3,000) — and the implant preserves your bone, doesn’t damage two healthy teeth, and is designed as a long-term solution rather than something that needs replacing every 10–15 years.

Pricing shown is for replacing one missing tooth at Smile Success Camberley. Bridge cost calculated as 3 crown units × £1,000. Denture pricing varies with materials and design (acrylic vs cobalt-chrome). All cases assessed clinically before any treatment is recommended — the right answer depends on your individual situation.

Smile Success
Specialist-level UK implant care

  • £2,200 — specialist-tier care at fairer pricing
  • Highly trained dental implant team across the whole clinic — receptionists, nurses and hygienists, not just the dentists
  • CBCT 3D planning standard for every case
  • Computer-guided placement available where clinically indicated (additional cost may apply)
  • Bone-saving Neodent short/narrow implants for "told no" cases New
  • UK-regulated, CQC-inspected, GDC-registered
  • Neodent (Straumann group) — globally serviceable implant system, so any qualified dentist worldwide can maintain or repair it
  • Long-term local aftercare in Camberley — no flights needed
  • 0% finance available
Caution

Discount dental chain

  • Lower headline price (often £1,800–£2,000)
  • Junior/rotating clinicians, less specialist experience
  • Wider team (reception, nurses, hygienists) often unfamiliar with implant care — harder to get answers between visits
  • Limited or no CBCT 3D planning — "eyeballed" placement is more common
  • Volume-driven model — less time per appointment
  • Complex cases (bone loss, anxiety) often referred out or declined
High Risk

Going to Turkey or Hungary

  • Cheap headline price — sometimes 60–70% less
  • Multiple flights and hotel stays add to total cost
  • Healing on a plane raises clinical risk after surgery
  • Aftercare & complications need a return flight or local fix-up
  • No UK regulatory recourse if anything goes wrong — the General Dental Council (GDC) advises understanding the complaints process before treating abroad
  • Many UK dentists are reluctant to take over complex implant work completed abroad — especially when the implant system, records, guarantees or surgical notes are unclear
  • The real risk isn't the surgery abroad — it's what happens 6 months, 2 years or 5 years later if something loosens, breaks, becomes infected, or can't be identified. Reasons covered in the General Dental Council guidance on going abroad
  • In fairness: some overseas clinicians are highly skilled — but UK aftercare and complaints routes don't follow you home

A fourth option many patients consider: waiting. The risk is that bone loss progresses, options narrow, and treatment becomes more complex and costly. The earlier you assess, the more options you have.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions patients ask most.

How much does a single dental implant cost?
A single dental implant at Smile Success is £2,200 — including the implant fixture, abutment, and final crown for a straightforward case. To put that in context: many UK specialist-led clinics with comparable credentials (MSc-level implantologists, 5,000+ cases of experience) charge between £2,500 and £3,500 for the same treatment, and central London premium clinics often charge £3,500–£5,500. We’re able to offer fairer pricing because Dr Nadeem part-owns the dental laboratory and benefits from preferential implant supplier rates — savings we pass to patients rather than retain as margin. Anything clinically additional (bone grafting, sinus lift, IV sedation) is quoted separately and transparently, never bundled into the headline. A written treatment plan with a fixed total quote follows your consultation. Tabeo finance with terms up to 5 years available, subject to credit approval.
Am I a candidate for dental implants?
Most adults with one or more missing teeth are candidates. Suitability depends on bone volume at the implant site, gum health, medical history, and a few risk factors (uncontrolled diabetes, heavy smoking). The only way to know with certainty is a clinical examination and, if indicated, a CBCT 3D scan. Many patients told they don't have enough bone elsewhere can still be treated using bone-preserving techniques.
I've been told I don't have enough bone for implants. Is that final?
Not necessarily. Modern implant dentistry has moved well beyond what many general practices offer. At Smile Success we routinely use Neodent short and narrow implants, angled implant placement, and conservative grafting to treat patients previously turned away. A second opinion costs nothing in pride and can save years of unnecessary delay. Bring any prior scans if you have them.
How long do dental implants last?
The titanium implant fixture is designed as a long-term solution when properly placed and maintained — published data supports 95%+ survival at 10 years. The crown, bridge, or denture attached to the implant may need maintenance or replacement over decades depending on materials and bite habits. Annual implant monitoring x-rays plus a hygienist visit every 3-6 months maximise long-term success.
Does dental implant surgery hurt?
No — the procedure is performed under local anaesthesia so you feel no pain during surgery. We apply topical numbing gel before every injection so even the injection itself is barely noticeable. Post-operative discomfort is typically mild and managed with standard pain relief. For anxious patients, oral sedation (Lorazepam) or IV sedation are available as comfort options.
How long does the whole process take?
For a single implant: consultation and CBCT scan, then surgical placement (30-60 minutes), then 3-4 months of osseointegration while the implant fuses to bone, then placement of the final crown. Some cases qualify for an immediate provisional crown the same day. Full-arch All-on-4 cases give you fixed temporary teeth the same day as surgery.
What's the difference between an implant and a bridge?
A traditional bridge replaces missing teeth by anchoring to the natural teeth on either side, which must be ground down to support it. A dental implant replaces the missing tooth with a titanium root inserted into the jawbone, leaving neighbouring teeth untouched. Implants also preserve the underlying jawbone — a bridge does not. For most patients with healthy adjacent teeth, an implant is the longer-lasting and more conservative choice.
Can I get implants in one day?
For full-arch cases (All-on-4 / All-on-X), yes — fixed provisional teeth are fitted the same day as surgery. For single implants, immediate provisional crowns are sometimes possible depending on bone quality and bite — we'll know after your CBCT scan. The final crown is typically placed 3-4 months later once osseointegration is confirmed.
What finance options do you offer?
We offer flexible patient finance through Tabeo with repayment terms up to 5 years (representative 9.9% APR). Shorter 0% terms are also available for patients who prefer to clear the balance faster. Subject to credit approval. Our team will walk you through every option during your consultation so you can choose what fits your budget.
Do you treat patients from outside Camberley?
Yes — far beyond Camberley. Smile Success sits on the border of Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire, so the majority of our patients travel from Farnborough, Fleet, Aldershot, Bracknell, Sandhurst, Crowthorne, Woking, Guildford, Windsor, Ascot, Virginia Water and surrounding areas. We also see patients who travel from across the UK specifically for Dr Nadeem’s implant work, and we regularly treat international patients who fly in for treatment — recent patients have travelled from France, Portugal and Nigeria, among others. Free on-site parking, an easy drive from the M3, A30 and A331, and short taxis from Camberley, Frimley and Farnborough Main stations make us straightforward to reach whether you’re local or coming from further afield.
Are dental implants safe?
Yes. Dental implants are one of the most well-researched and successful treatments in modern dentistry — over 50 years of clinical evidence and 95%+ survival at 10 years in published data. The titanium implant fixture is biocompatible (the body accepts it as part of itself) and is the same material used for hip and knee replacements. The procedure is regulated in the UK, and at Smile Success it’s performed by Dr Nadeem Zafar, GDC-registered (70213), with an MSc in Implantology from Eastman/UCL.
What happens if my implant fails?
Implant failure is rare — under 5% in published 10-year data when implants are placed correctly and looked after. If it does happen, the implant is removed (typically a simple procedure), the site is allowed to heal, and a replacement implant can usually be placed once the bone has recovered. At Smile Success, your implants are reviewed at every routine check-up and any early warning signs are addressed before they become problems. We back our work with a structured aftercare programme.
Can I have implants if I smoke?
Yes — but smoking does increase the risk of implant failure (roughly 2× higher than non-smokers in published studies) and slows healing. We don’t refuse implants to smokers, but Dr Nadeem will discuss the increased risk honestly with you, and strongly recommend stopping (or significantly reducing) for at least 2 weeks before and 8 weeks after surgery. Many patients use this as their motivation to quit. The decision is always yours, made with full information.
Will I need time off work?
For a single implant: typically no — most patients return to work the next day. For multiple implants or full-arch surgery, we recommend 2–3 days off to recover comfortably, ideally booking the surgery on a Thursday or Friday so you have the weekend to settle. Strenuous exercise and heavy lifting should be avoided for about a week. We’ll give you a written aftercare guide tailored to your specific procedure.
I’m really anxious about dental treatment — can you help?
Yes — dental anxiety is one of the most common reasons patients delay treatment for years, and we treat anxious patients every week. Three comfort options are available: local anaesthetic alone with topical numbing gel before every injection (how most cases are done); Lorazepam, a mild oral anti-anxiety tablet taken before your appointment (private prescription, no extra charge); or IV sedation with a qualified sedationist attending your case (£950 additional fee). All three keep you awake and breathing on your own — IV sedation is not general anaesthetic. Tell us at your consultation and we’ll plan around it.
